Dragons, mythical creatures

You think dragons as reptiles of today or the past of dinosaurs. But what I am talking about are dragons as mythical creatures. We all know dragons creatures that are alike from reptiles, serpents with or without wings, or two legs or more, and their not true. Non-fiction or fiction? I found some evidence, that you may think it is real or not real just a hoax. You'll just have to find out yourself!

What I have research about dragons are mythical creatures, and are part of religious beliefs and somethings related to that. There are also many different kinds of dragons (shown below), but the commonly known is the western (left) and the eastern dragons (right). There are known by legends and myths about dragons spread all over the world. Well now some people said that they saw dragons, but it could mistaken by a reptiles of today. Or it couldn't be?

I found evidence of a dragon, but I can't tell if it real. While flying over Tibet’s Himalayas on June 22 last year, an amateur photographer accidentally caught an image of two peculiar dragon-shaped objects which looked like dragons in the sky (close up shown in the bottom left). He called these two objects “the Tibet dragons.” (On the right is the full. Showing in bottom left corner of the picture of the figure.)

Are you convinced ?What do you think of those pictures? a hoax? just a figure of glaciers? or you think of it as cloud formations? To me, I'm not sure, but it does look like two dragon tails and at the same time it looks glaciers since it is near the Himalayas. It's your choice of what you think of those pictures and dragons, but we might never know the truth of mythical dragons. Not only dragons but some enigmas, but maybe someday we may find some evidence and the truth behind those mysteries.

Global Warming

As the Earth starts to warm up, changes are made around the world. Seas start to rises up, weathers and climate change through out the regions, more disasters come to life (many typhoons are formed and are more stronger) as the heat get stronger. The causes of this is Global Warming.

Global warming is the warming of the Earth, which is caused by an enhancement of the greenhouses effect, primarily by air pollution. The warming the earth is due to the build up of CO2 and green houses effect in the atmosphere causing solar radiation to remain trapped in the atmospheric levels. To much green houses effects, CO2 and other pollutants causes more consequences to the Earth. So now we humans must take action and take part on saving Earth.

Global warming has received increasing political attention over the past thirty years, having constituted one of the key themes in the rise of green politics over the same period. As a result of this in an intergovernmental meeting in Kyoto in 1997, at which 38 industrialized countries signed up to the Kyoto Protocol. As you all know, the Kyoto Protocol is where nations who join, would reduce their atmospheric emissions. But the Kyoto Protocol will not become effective until it has been ratified by 55 per cent of the signatory nations, and only then if these nations contribute 55 per cent or more of global carbon emissions.

Global warming causes many great consequences: causes of that is Deforestation, (losing acres of trees every year) animal wild life and Vegetation start face extinction as temperates changes and Glaciers start to melt in regions making the ocean rise up sinking most of the lands. As Human industrial and agricultural practices created Gases increase the heat-reflecting potential of the atmosphere. Power plant's using coals, oil, fossil fuels, petroleum and natural gas are non renewable resources which will not last long and takes time for them to form naturally. Already half of the earth's oil is already used up and sooner we will use renewable resources which is good for Earth.

Have you heard some renewable resources? well there are many of them which will help rescue the whole world from global warming. Make the sun useful as a renewable resources as Solar energy. How about breezy places could use some Wind turbine power. Places with "hot spots" could use those for Geothermal power. You think water is use for drinking, showering and for other things, it could be use for Hydro power. Well there some that I don't know about and some new resources for the future.

I am just hoping for the world to get better. Well this is why wrote this to concern many people what is going on right now and to take part of helping Earth. Hope for the better!

The effects of our economy and power

Saipan, an island paradise where sunsets shown as the begin set, lush green plants roam the island and where many friendly people live. Or is it? an island where there many power outages, high gas prices, high interest rates and many other problems roam about the island. Because of this problems, many people in the island are suffering and I am one of those people including my family.
As I remembered, since the Fed came to our island, a lot of changes were made. In the past, everything was ok, every was everything was stable. But as time passes by, start to change and it gets worse. Everything began to slow down and because of that, there many unemployed(very hard to find jobs right now), many contract workers are complaining about their minimum wages, people are leaving the island and not much tourists are coming in. Without the people or worker then some businesses would close down, the causes of that is because the businesses don't have enough money to pay their workers because of the taxes. Another thing is that there not much tourist are coming. Well there are a lot of reasons why not much tourist coming to Saipan. Here are some: There is said to be that there locals stealing from tourists, making the tourists scared to come here. Also, since interest rates gone up, they would not spend much money here. Tourists not the only problem, there still many more in Saipan.

There many problems here, and one I thought of is power outages. Since the gas prices gone up, there many power outages now a days suffering many people. Electricity is the most important every day necessities and now it is very expensive. People now try to save power by using light bulbs that uses up little power, turn off or unplug lights or objects that are not used, use solar power or generator. Without power, how can we turn on the lights when ever we need, use computers to do projects for students and especially big businesses who needs power and will spend a lot of money. As June 9 approaches, I wonder what will be the gas prices and what will happen to Saipan when the Fed take over.

As we all know that our economy bad and makes us people suffer. People are trying their best to make a living here in Saipan. They try to save money to save them selves and their families. Just hope it would not get any worse and hope for our economy to improve once more.

Tips for Freshmen

Close to finishing my first year of high school, I've learned many things throughout that year becoming an experienced freshmen. As time passes by quickly, I would probably know that i would become a sophomore which would more challenging for me. I'm willing share with new freshmen what I experienced and what I learned from being a freshmen.

At beginnings it would be very hard but when you get use to your school it may become easier for the new freshmen. It is a chance to start over, meet new people, making new friends, and learning new things. As you go along, you also have to take your first year seriously otherwise you won't be enrolled to a college where you want to be. Pay attention, study well and do your best! But don't do to much or you might get stressed out, just relax do things early so you won't panic. Speaking of education, teachers are friendly and do help students who cares about their education and do improves through out the year. I suggest that you should ask questions during a class and be open to ideas. Just put some effort and do your best.

In addition, there are lot things to learn here in Saipan Southern High School. Here are some elective classes that you freshmen may be interested:
  1. Art class (1, 2, 3)
  2. Band classes (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
  3. Computer Applications
  4. Computer Electronics (1, 2, 3)
  5. JROTC (1, 2, 3, 4)
  6. Ceramics (1,2)
  7. Health Occupations (1, 2)

There are many different kinds of classes that you make like and might not like but it for the best. If you are bored not knowing what to do in school wanting to do something fun? Well there are many clubs in SSHS that you might want to join. I can't name all the clubs, but I know some: art club, yearbook club, NHS (National Honor Society) and many more. So its fun to learn more things, meet more people and enjoy at the same time. Not only that, there are lots of events to watch and enjoy. I could name some: Stomp the South, Culture day, Spirit week and many more, depending on the holidays, month, or other things.

It sounds like you can do anything here at SSHS, there are many rules that you may have to follow. The person who watches out for students is Mr. Indilecio. He disciplines students and watches the campus from students skipping and doing bad things. If your a student who does not do good in school and want to come to SSHS, you may have to rethink that and stop slacking and start working or you might get suspended, get detention, or even expelled. If your a student who is more competitive and who cares more about their education then SSHS the right school.

There are much things for you freshmen to learn. You might make mistakes and learn from them as you are experiencing the life as a freshmen. Just be your self, don't be shy, study well and try your best. Good Luck on your first year of high school!

english project!

The project was ok and I’ve learned some things through question to question. Some were hard and some were very interesting but at least I am learning many things throughout the project. What I am most interested in was about Charles Lindbergh an american aviator who was the first man to fly nonstop across Atlantic solo. How did he become famous? during his childhood, he was really good at Mechanics. He also got interested in being an aviator, so two years later he became an barnstormer, a pilot who does daredevil stunts in fairs. Then he enlisted himself in the army and became a cautious and capable pilot. A hotel owner in New York offered $25,000 for the first man to fly across the Atlantic. He believed that he could win with the right airplane, so convinced 9 businessmen to help finance the cost of a special designed plane which was named the Spirit of St. Louis. On May 20, 1927 he flew from New York. As landed on Paris on May 21, he became famous.
What I am really in is the tragedy of his son, Charles Jr. who was kidnapped and left with a note demanding a $50,000 ransom. But his son's remains were found and was murdered by Bruno Hauptmann, who was convicted of crime and executed, which was also a famous trial. He and his wife moved to England with their second son to have privacy and moved on. Well I hope I interest you with what I have learned during the research for the project. I'm glad that we students get to know about some things in this world to let our curiosity feel free to learn about new things and show our self that we can find things individually, right Mr.Turbitt?
